Bio

Michael Cipponeri ( pronounced sip-o-nair-e)

I am a native Michigander from Howell Michigan. I have a Passion for automotive, innovation and 3D creativity.

In my younger years my father, uncle and I were always working on racecars or restoration projects. I have been in the Racing scene since I was a kid, working on my family's assortment of vehicles (see pictures below). One of my first cars restoration projects was a 1974 Corvette Stingray. I've always been a hands on learner with an eye for detail.

After high school, I attended Mott Community College and got a certificate for CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Programming creating M and G code for 2 and 3 Axis machines.

I was encouraged to learn more skills in computer aided design.  Drafting and Class A surfacing work sparked the idea that I could pursue a career in a creative field. I have always had a strong passion for video games and computer graphics.

I attended the Art Institute and achieved a Bachelors degree in Fine Art And Animation in 2016. My passion for 3D art and cars collided when I got a job working at Toyota Geosi. I started creating training videos for their production line. I then got a job 3-D scanning cars and many auto parts for Millit5. This job began to open doors for me eventually leading up to my job at Dassault Systems doing 3D automotive rendering.

For my 23th birthday I bought a 1987 Mazda RX7. This is the new project. hoping to acquire some more classics, of all types to keep the passion of building, designing, restoring and racing alive!

In September of 2017, I started as a 3D artist at Dassault Systems 3D Excite. This was the culmination of my skills, education and passion. I having been working with Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac vehicles unleashing my passion for creativity and visual art.
