Rim And Tire
 
The Continental tire was created in V-ray and Maya.
 
The Pirelli tire was created as a game asset and is shown in a game engine
The tire above was created and rendered within Maya using V-Ray as the render engine. The side wall and tread are projected on as maps. Using a little displacement magic I can create realistic bump mapping that give secular shaping and realistic depth and shadow without modeling the tread.   
The tire below was created within Maya and using 3Do engine and Skechfab to render images. The side wall and tread are projected on as maps. Using normal map magic I can create realistic bump without modeling the tread making a faster rendering tire for higher frame rate with in a video game or a real time simulation.
